Learn moreCommonly chosen for: Deep belly fat

Tesamorelin has one unusual and very useful trait: it targets visceral fat specifically — the deep belly fat packed around your organs, not the fat you can pinch. It is FDA-approved for reducing that fat in HIV-related lipodystrophy, and has also been studied for liver fat and memory. Any use outside that approved indication is off-label and directed by your prescriber.
Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue: it signals your pituitary to release your own growth hormone.
What sets it apart is where the effect lands. It is associated specifically with visceral fat — the deep fat packed around your organs, not the fat you can pinch.

Injection-site reactions, joint aches, swelling, muscle pain and tingling in the hands are reported. Blood sugar can rise, so monitoring matters if you are diabetic or pre-diabetic.
Not appropriate with active cancer, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with a disrupted pituitary axis. Discuss diabetes and any pituitary history with your provider.
No scheduled video visit required — reviewed and prescribed by a licensed provider. Add a consult if you have a chronic condition or take other medication.

Where you see the FDA-Approved Ingredient mark, the active ingredient is FDA-approved in at least one prescription medication. Products without it are prescribed based on your provider's clinical judgment and current research. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved products in either case.
