Telehealth Consent

This page explains, in plain language, how telehealth works when you order through HealthProsUSA. Formal informed consent is presented and collected by our clinical partner, OutfitMD, during the secure clinical intake, before any provider review or treatment recommendation.

What telehealth means here

Telehealth is care delivered remotely. A licensed provider reviews the health questionnaire you complete, may follow up by secure message, phone or video, and decides whether a prescription is appropriate. There is no in-person examination unless a provider asks for one.

Benefits

• Access to a licensed provider without travelling to a clinic.
• Faster review and, when appropriate, prescribing and shipping direct to you.
• Secure written records of your intake and provider communication.

Limitations and risks

• A remote review cannot include a physical exam, so some conditions cannot be assessed this way.
• Incomplete or inaccurate information you provide can affect the provider's judgement.
• Technology can fail or be delayed, and in rare cases electronic data can be compromised despite safeguards.
• A provider may determine that telehealth is not appropriate and may decline to prescribe or refer you to in-person care.

Your rights

• You may ask questions at any point and may withdraw consent before treatment begins.
• You may request in-person care instead, at your own arrangement.
• Your medical information is handled under applicable healthcare privacy law by the clinical partner and dispensing pharmacy.

Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
