TB-500 copies the active part of a protein your body already makes when healing a wound. Its main job is helping repair cells physically travel to where the damage is. TB-500 copies the active part of thymosin beta-4, a protein your body already makes when healing a wound.
Its main job is cell migration — helping repair cells physically travel to where the damage is. It also supports new blood vessel growth.
Because it acts system-wide rather than at one point, it is associated with less stiff scar tissue and better flexibility in healing tissue.
Injection-site reactions, temporary tiredness and head-rush sensations are the usual reports. Human research is limited and long-term safety data does not exist.
Not appropriate in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with active cancer, given its effect on cell growth and blood vessel formation.
